Type 1
What is Type 1?
Type 1 is the oldest format in Magic. Decks can consist of any set with the exceptions of: Collector's Edition and Unglued. Portal and starter cards are not allowed unless they have the same name as a legal card. There is a minimum of 60 cards in a deck. There is no maximum size. There is no more than 4 of any card, that is not a basic land, allowed in the combination of deck and sideboard.
Banned List
These cards are banned in type 1.
